  • Q. How do I manage my BookAMotel account?

    With a BookAMotel account you can view trip itineraries, save motels to future trips, and apply coupons to your bookings.

    To create an account

    Go to Create Account and choose to sign up with your Facebook or email account.

    To close an account

    If you wish to close your account, contact us.

  • Q. How do I view my motel reservations online?

    To view a motel reservation, log into your account, click …. (complete the steps to view reservations).

ONLINE RESERVATIONS

  • Q. Do I need a credit card to make a motel room reservation?

    Yes, BookAMotel requires a credit card for all online motel reservations. Some reservations require full payment upfront, while some of our partner channels may only require a credit card number to secure your booking without prepayment.

    If you do not cancel reservations in accordance with the individual motel's cancellation policy, you may be charged for one night's motel stay, unless your online motel reservation required a full payment in advance or a minimum length of stay.

  • Q. Is your online reservation process secure to protect my personal and credit card information?

    Our site is safe and secure. Once you enter your personal and credit card information, your online reservation is processed through a secure computer server. The personal information you enter is encrypted to keep it protected while in transit.

  • Q. What is BookAMotel’s reservation cancellation policy?

    Our reservation cancellation policies vary by location and travel partners. Please review the policies of each individual motel when confirming your travel reservation during the online reservation process.

    If you do not cancel your reservations based on the individual motel's cancellation policy, you may be charged for one night's motel stay, unless your online motel reservation required a full payment in advance or a minimum length of stay.

    When full payment is required in advance, you will be charged for the entire reserved stay unless you change or cancel your reservation within the requirements of the individual motel's cancellation policy. During certain travel periods, such as holidays and special events, a minimum stay may be required. For minimum length of stay reservations you will be charged for the entire reserved stay if you check out prior to the reserved departure date.

  • Q. Will my credit card be charged if I forget to cancel my hotel room reservation?

    Yes. Reservations are guaranteed to your credit card. To avoid being charged, reservations must be cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy outlined by each individual motel. Take time to review the cancellation policies for your specific motel reservation.

  • Q. Where can I find contact information for a specific motel?
    The address and phone number along with motel descriptions can be found on the motel information page for your selected motel right on this site.

MOTEL OWNERS

  • Q. What will happen after I sign up?

    Once you provide your motel’s email address, you will be able to access our registration pages. Here, you can enter all of your motel’s property information, including room types, pricing, photographs, etc. Once your motel is verified with us, you will have full access to your motel’s dashboard to manage your bookings, set availability, modify pricing, and the like.

    Note: If you signed up but haven’t heard from us yet, send us an email to info@bookamotel.com.au. Chances are we’re still reviewing your information, but we will be in touch as soon as possible to get your motel listed online.

  • Q. Will I be able to update my registration details at a later date?

    Once you’ve registered with us, you can update your details at any time, for example, if you add a new room type.

  • Q. What kinds of photos should I upload?

    When you sign up we ask you to upload photos of your motel, as well as the individual room types. This is because we know our guests love browsing through photos when looking for a place to stay. We recommend that you upload photos that showcase both the inside and the outside of your property. They don’t need to be professional photos — photos with a smartphone will still give your guests a good impression of the space.

  • Q. When will my property go online?

    Once you’re all signed up and we’ve reviewed your information, we’ll notify you that your motel has gone live on the site.

  • Q. What do I get for the commission I pay?

    We charge a low 10% commission for each booking, and this will never change. We know motels don’t have huge profit margins, but we do also know that you need an online marketing tool that is dedicated to making your motel work. That’s where we come in. We are focussed solely on motels across Australia, and we want to help drive business your way and grow your motel.

  • Q. Are the reviews on your site genuine?

    Absolutely! Only guests you have booked through our site and stayed at your motel can leave a review for your motel.

  • Q. What happens if a guest cancels?

    Two things may happen when a guest cancels a reservation. If a guest cancels and your property has a free cancellation policy, the guest pays nothing and you don’t pay commission. If a guest cancels and your property doesn’t have a free cancellation policy, the guest pays a fee, and you pay commission on the amount that the guest pays you.

  • Q. What happens if my property is damaged by a guest?

    Motel owners can request damage deposits from guests. Deposits can help cover any potential damage that a guest might cause — providing some assurance that your property will be treated respectfully. Alternatively, the damage may be covered by insurance. Check with your individual insurer for further details.
